Overzicht

The objective of the course is to make nuclear engineers more acquaintained with safeguards or the (non-)proliferation aspects of nuclear energy. Traditionally the focus of nuclear engineering is on the safety of a nuclear installation, whereas today also the aspects of security and safeguards receive more attention than in the past. The so-called 3S approach (Safety, Security, Safeguards) aims to broaden the focus to all three aspects.
