Overzicht

A workshop on RIB production and high-power target stations is jointly organized by SCK•CEN (ISOL@MYRRHA), IKS – KU Leuven, CERN (ISOLDE), GANIL (Spiral 2) and TRIUMF (ARIEL). The purpose of the workshop is to review ongoing activities on

  • high-power ISOL targets,
  • ruggedized ion sources,
  • RIB purification systems and
  • high-power target stations,
  • generating a forum for discussions on particular issues encountered by different R&D groups and possible solutions.

The workshop is organized in the framework of the BriX project “The Belgian Research Initiative on eXotic nuclei for atomic, nuclear and astrophysics studies (P7/12)” supported through the Interuniversity Attraction Poles (IAP) Programme of the Belgian Science Policy.
