Workshop on Glass Corrosion

We are very pleased to invite you to the workshop Glass Corrosion!

You are welcome at the sites of SCK•CEN on June 2 and 3, 2014 for a visit of our Underground Research Facility Hades and a workshop on "Corrosion of nuclear waste glass in aquous solutions and soils".

Please register for this event, using the registration button, so we can know how many people to expect. Permission to enter the SCK•CEN nuclear domain on Monday is not given unless (1) all information fields are filled out during registration (also the ones under the button "participant"), and (2) registration is done before May 20.

If you are not able to come to Belgium, you can follow the workshop by webconference. Please let us know if you are interested in following the workshop from abroad. Then we can give you all the information you need to log on.

We intend to offer common transport to Mol from Aachen on Monday morning, as well as common transport to Brussels (Airport) on Tuesday evening.  If you plan to make use of this service,  please contact our secretaries Monique Van Geel (monique [dot] van [dot] geel [at] sckcen [dot] be (monique[dot]van[dot]geel[at]sckcen[dot]be)) and Davina Vandueren (davina [dot] vandueren [at] sckcen [dot] be (davina[dot]vandueren[at]sckcen[dot]be)) before May 1th.

Accommodation needs to be paid for by the participants themselves.  However, we can make the reservations. We propose to stay at the Club House (also called Lake House), where the workshop takes place.  To make a reservation, please contact Davina Vandueren well  in advance, as only 20 rooms are available (clubhouse [at] sckcen [dot] be (davina[dot]vandueren[at]sckcen[dot]be)).  Therefore, first come, first served!
