Overzicht

The second edition of the Nuclear Careers Day aims at introducing young scientists to advanced education and job opportunities to support a career in nuclear, in Belgium and at the IAEA.

The morning program is dedicated to give the participants a taste of a career in nuclear and consists of

  • Overview of advanced education possibilities in nuclear
  • Overview of different career pathways in nuclear
  • Testimonials of students and young professionals working in different branches in nuclear.

During a walking lunch, participants can effectively network at the booths of participating companies, institutions and networks (such as the IAEA, SCK•CEN, FANC-AFCN, ENGIE, the Joint Research Centres of the European Commission, Rad4Med, Westinghouse, NIRAS/ONDRAF and Belgoprocess.).

In the afternoon, technical visits to various nuclear facilities (in industry, medical and research) are scheduled. Shuttle buses from and to Brussels will be foreseen.

The program will be concluded with a closing drink which will allow for networking in an informal way with professionals in nuclear and the Young Generation of the Belgian Nuclear Society (BNS-YG).
