Overzicht

With the organisation of this 'Nuclear Career Day', students and young professionals will be introduced to the different nuclear career opportunities that exist in Belgium and at the IAEA.

The morning program is dedicated to discovering

  • Advanced academic opportunities to support a nuclear career, such as
    • BNEN program in nuclear engineering
    • Radiation Protection Expert course
    • Medical Physics programs
  • Existing career pathways at IAEA and other Belgian employers
  • Testimonials of students and young professionals working in different branches in nuclear.

During a walking lunch, participants can effectively network at the booths of participating companies, institutions and networks

In the afternoon program, technical visits to various nuclear facilities (in industry, medical and research) are scheduled. Shuttle buses will be foreseen.

The program will be concluded with a social event in the evening in Brussels, that will allow for networking in an informal way. This evening activity will be organized by the BNS-YG.

Doelpubliek

This event is aimed at Master and PhD students in sciences and engineering and young professionals with an interest in pursuing a career in nuclear industry, the medical area, research, or any other activity dealing with peaceful nuclear applications.

The event is free of charge.

Registratie

Online registration is mandatory for all participants via the SCK•CEN Academy website.
Registration will be opened on: April 1, 2015.
The registration deadline is May 5, 2015.
