GDF SUEZ – SCK•CEN Workshop - Lifecycle of nuclear installations

Overzicht

This Workshop is jointly organised by GDF SUEZ and SCK•CEN in the framework of the cooperation agreement between both parties signed in December 2007, and is a follow-up of the Workshop on the R&D for enhancing the safe operation of nuclear power plants, held on April 20, 2010 in Brussels.

This years' programme focuses on three specific topics in the field of

• Long Term Operations
• Decommissioning
• Social Sciences

The Workshop will offer researchers and management of both organising parties the possibility to discuss and evaluate the on-going projects and to reflect on possible topics for future collaboration, covering the broad spectrum of domains that are subject to the cooperation agreement (materials issues, safety, radiation protection, neutronics and dosimetry, radioecology, social sciences, education and training, waste management, fuel, etc…).
