Looking back at the Heavy Metal Summer School 2023

The SCK CEN Academy welcomed 18 heavy metal fans to learn all about HLM (heavy liquid metal) technology that is essential for the engineering of innovative nuclear systems. Organized back-to-back with the Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, we couldn’t resist to take a peek backstage and visit the festival to appreciate the heavy bands and ambiance! Thank you to founding father Hamid Aït Abderrahim, scientific organizer Paul Schuurmans and all lecturers and participants for making this summer school a fantastic event!
