Training courses
The more access to nuclear knowledge, the better the competences of students and employees at the workplace and the safer the use of radioactive radiation in the industry, the health care sector and research environments. Besides, excellent knowledge dissemination also supports new, innovative applications to the benefit of the whole of society.
For this reason, SCK CEN Academy organises lots of training courses about various nuclear topics. The level, topic and availability of these courses vary according to the type. We distinguish between the following training courses within our portfolio:

Open training courses
The SCK CEN Academy frequently organises ‘open training courses’ on several subjects. These courses have a pre-established programme and are open to individual registrations.

Customised training courses
We also organise customised training courses that are adapted to the needs of professionals who, directly or indirectly, come into contact with ionising radiation in the nuclear industry, the medical sector, the non-nuclear industry, research centres and public agencies.

Academic educational programmes
The SCK CEN Academy also offers academic educational programmes in cooperation with all Belgian and several international universities.
Our Learning Management System (LMS)
The SCK CEN Academy uses a registration and participant management system Eduframe. In addition, we have implemented a Learning Management System (LMS), called CANVAS. Read more about registration, as well as other features of our LMS.
