Dr Đorđe Petrović is the Winner of the ENS High Scientific Council PhD Award 2025!
After an exceptional round of submissions from 11 ENS Member Societies, the ENS High Scientific Council selected four outstanding finalists, who were invited to the UK on 2-3 December for a technical visit to the Heysham Nuclear Power Plant, followed by auditions in Manchester.
Dr Đorđe Petrović, nominated by the BNS - Belgian Nuclear Society, won by presenting his PhD dissertation: “On the Physics of a Core Disruptive Accident in a Heavy Liquid Metal Fast Reactor | Case Study: MYRRHA”. This PhD was done in collaboration between SCK CEN and KU Leuven (promotor: William D'haeseleer, SCK CEN mentor: Guy Scheveneels).
