X-ray calibrations and irradiations
Calibrations and irradiations with X-ray photons from 10 kV up to 300 kV in terms of Kair and all derived operational quantities H*(10), Hp(10), Hp(0.07), and Hp(3) are available following recommendations of the ISO 4037:2019 standard (015 CAL BELAC accreditation scope).
X-ray calibrations and irradiations can be performed using a dual tube X-ray generator and filtered beam qualities as N-series, RQR-series and H-250 as defined in ISO 4037 and IEC 61267 standards, from 10kV up to 300 kV. Slab, cylinder, rod and pillar phantoms are available. Irradiations and calibrations at different incidence angles are possible. Dose rates from few hundreds of μGy/h up to about 10 Gy/h are available, depending on the beam quality (more filtration means smaller dose rate).
