Ionising radiation offers various applications in industry and in the medical sector. It is a challenge to sufficiently protect the workers, public and environment against possible detrimental effects of radiation.
This training session is part of a series of sessions organised in the framework of the continuous professional development in radiation protection. The aim is to discuss the most recent status of relevant subjects in radiation protection for professionals responsible for the supervision of exposed workers, public and environment.
This training session is eligible for 3 hours of continuous professional development in radiation protection for the prolongation of the certification of occupational doctors. A certificate of attendance will be provided.
All professionals who are directly involved in the control or supervision of radiation protection issues, such as:
- Medical Doctors for medical supervision;
- Experts in Health Physics.

Knowledge of the basic principles of ionising radiation is recommended, but not required.
No preparation is required for this training course.
The registration fee is 175,45 EUR, VAT included (145,00 EUR + 21% VAT) and includes the course material and coffee break.
Cancellation with total refund is only possible until September 18, 2020.

The training session takes place on October 23, 2020 from 14 h until 17 h in the Faculty Club (room Lemaire), Groot Begijnhof 14, 3000 Leuven. Room Lemaire is situated on the ground floor of the 'Infirmerie' building.
