Overview

We cordially invite you to participate to this years’ Nuclear Science Contest Award Ceremony. This event was originally planned as a face-to-face event at the SCK CEN Lakehouse in Mol on November 25, 2021.

Given the recent COVID-19 evolution, we have decided to postpone the organization of a physical event to a later date (most likely February or March 2022, also depending on the COVID-19 situation).

This Science Contest aims at promoting outstanding nuclear research performed by students and young professionals and is organized by the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK CEN and the Belgian Nuclear Society BNS, with the help of its Young Generation.

Awards will be granted for the best original work in the following categories:

  • SCK CEN best Master Thesis awards: for Master theses prepared at SCK CEN
  • BNS-YG nuclear science award: for the best scientific work in nuclear science and its applications
  • BNS-YG award for scientific works related to nuclear medicine and biology studies related to nuclear science

A poster competition will complement the awards listed above. The posters will be exhibited during the event at the SCK CEN Lakehouse.
