We're ready to build this accelerator! Are you?

The beam-commissioning of this accelerator facility is scheduled for 2026. To help us achieve this goal, we are looking for a: Embedded system engineer for LLRF applications (Low-Level RF)
In this position, you will:

  • develop the MicroTCA-based LLRF system (176 & 352 MHz) together with colleagues and international collaboration partners
  • ensure to meet the exceptionally high reliability requirements of the accelerator
  • once applicable, commission the LLRF system & support the LINAC operation
  • align the interface with the other technical groups (RF, controls, operation)

To join this frontier, you'll need

  • Master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics or equivalent
  • first experience in the design and development of LLRF systems, ideally for particle accelerators
  • demonstrated experience in embedded systems engineering (Electronics, FPGA, Firmware) using complex VHDL integration frameworks
  • practical experience in Object-oriented software design (Python, C/C++) and development lifecycle (Requirements, Quality assurance, Git)
  • knowledge of RF systems (Coupling, Modulations, Feedback loops, etc.) is an asset.
  • knowledge of Control Systems integration (SCADA, EPICS, Network protocols) is an asset
