Fifth international workshop on the utilisation and reliability of high power proton accelerators
Workshop: mei 6-9, 2007
Scope
R&D activities and construction plans related to high power proton accelerators (HPPAs) are being considered in various countries to promote basic and applied sciences. These include accelerator-driven nuclear energy systems (ADS). The performance of such hybrid nuclear systems depends to a large extent on the specification and reliability of the particle accelerator.
The present meeting is a follow-up to the fourth international workshop on “Utilisation and Reliability of High Power Proton Accelerators”, hosted by Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) and held in Daejon, Republic of Korea in 2004. Many of the questions discussed at the workshop in Korea will be further developed during this meeting.
