The isRP provides in-house developed courses on a wide variety of subjects, all associated
with radiological protection and nuclear science and technology. The
teachers have a solid knowledge of the basics in their field, and may thus
directly transfer their practical experience in the various courses. The
courses are supported by extensively documented textbooks and multimedia
tools, and for certain relevant subjects, with interactive software
specially designed for the isRP of SCK•CEN.
The subject material is classified in three packages:
- Background and Basic Knowledge
>> General and more
specific technical courses on radiological protection for personnel of
the Belgian and international nuclear industry and related
sectors
- Nuclear Expertise
>>
Technical practically-oriented courses with a link to radiological
protection, starting from the nuclear expertise of
SCK•CEN
>> Implementation of and communication on
nuclear emergency planning for the public services and persons of the
private sector involved
- Information and
Communication
>> Information and communication for
the benefit of the public, specifically with respect to the activities
of SCK•CEN, and generally with respect to nuclear energy, radioactivity,
energy policy and environment
