Supporting activities available at SCK•CEN in the aftermath of the Fukushima accident
In the aftermath of the Fukushima accident, SCK•CEN offers its services to anyone requesting support in a number of domains.
Conditions
- Priority is given to demands by the Belgian or international authorities and in-house needs.
- Activities are performed according to high-level standards at commercial rates; in case capacity problems would occur, priority will be given to control of food and feeding stuffs over other activities.
- SCK•CEN can provide analysis reports, but will not decide upon actions in case radioactive contamination is found. In that case, the Federal Agency for Nuclear Control has to be contacted.
