In evaluating the teaching load of each individual course, the following rule has been adopted:

  • 3 ECTS = 1 tm (teaching module)
  • 1 tm consists of 20 hours of lectures, 10 hours of e.l.s. (exercises, laboratory sessions, seminars).
The rule applies to all courses except for the advanced courses, which are organised in a more flexible way by a professor responsible also for the exams.

The rule enables to evaluate the load of the professors teaching the courses and supervising the e.l.s., and of SCK•CEN.

The numbers of ECTS reflect the student workload.
